Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.®) was established by Intermountain Therapy Animals in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1999 to improve the literacy skills of children through the assistance of volunteer registered therapy animal/handler teams.

In support of that mission; and to encourage children's discovery of the joy of reading, the fun of holding a book, understanding the words and imagining the story, Lisa Perovich and her registered Pet Partner® volunteer some of their time to programs for local libraries, schools and other public venues.

We also offer a Horse Safety and Beginner Education Day to scout troops for a nominal fee.
