Lisa Perovich graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Since then, she has also:Become a PATH Certified Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning |

Lisa worked as a Special Education paraprofessional in the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose public schools, with and without her therapy dogs. She assisted students with a variety of disabilities, including ADD/ADHD, Austism Spectrum Disorders, Development and Cognitive Disorders, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Learning Disabilities. |

In addition to Pawsitive Steps, Lisa currently works as an Instructor, Therapy Assistant and the Office Manager at Hold Your Horses, an equine-assisted occupational therapy practice in Independence, Minnesota. |
|
Lisa has worked with assistance and therapy animals for over 20 years; including nearly 20 years of visits to hospitals, schools, and residential care facilities with her registered therapy dogs, 10 years of volunteering with a therapeutic horseback riding program, and 5 years as an assistance dog puppy raiser. |

Lisa and her husband George have lived in Maple Lake township for over 10 years. |
