Pawsitive Steps sessions are held at a hobby farm near Maple Lake, Minnesota. The farm has wooded trails, gardens for the apple trees and bird-feeders, a spacious lawn, and 2 covered porches.

Four Sticks Farm is home to Lisa, her husband George, the 2 registered therapy dogs (Boone & Zenga), 3 horses (Biskit, Chicago & Rusty) and 2 cats (Basil & Mace.)

Whenever possible, sessions are held outdoors, allowing the client to enjoy some passive interaction with the horses, cats and wooded surroundings, and some reading activities may include walking the dog on the trails.
